Feyenoord recall Julian Carranza from Leicester City, set to sell striker
Feyenoord loaned the 25-year-old striker out to the Foxes, where the Argentinian appeared in nine games and failed to score a single goal.
The former Banfield, Inter Miami and Philadelphia Union striker arrived at Feyenoord in the summer of 2024 on a free transfer, but didn't live up to expectations after scoring just five goals in 30 appearances in his debut season for the Rotterdam giants.
According to several reports, Carranza is now on his way to Mexico, where he'll reportedly sign a contract with Club Necaxa in the Liga MX. Carranza is set to sign a five-year contract with Necaxa, who will reportedly pay around €3.5 million for the striker.
Carranza is currently under contract through the 2027/28 season at Feyenoord, who will continue their season with Ayase Ueda, Cyle Larin, Casper Tengstedt and Shaqueel van Persie, manager Robin van Persie's son, as their options at the striker position.
